IFK Göteborg and Sunseeker Robotics have signed a new agreement under which Sunseeker becomes the club’s main partner.
“We want to grow in Sweden together with IFK Göteborg and be an active partner in and around the club,” says Per Christiansson, Nordic Director at Sunseeker.
Sunseeker Robotics is a global player in smart, wireless robotic lawn mowing and is currently in an expansive phase in Europe.
The company already has partnerships within elite sports, including with Bundesliga club Werder Bremen.
The partnership with IFK Göteborg will be an important part of Sunseeker’s investment in Sweden and the Nordic region.
From Sunseeker’s perspective, a shared set of values, team spirit, and IFK Göteborg’s strong position in Swedish football were decisive factors behind the partnership.
Torsten Bollweg, CEO of Sunseeker EMEA, described the partnership as a recognition of shared values. He noted that just as the team strives to be a champion on the football pitch, Sunseeker pursues the same ambition to become a “Champion on the Lawn,” delivering smarter and more professional lawn-care solutions. Bollweg also highlighted Sunseeker’s focus on sustainability, noting that responsible grass care today plays a meaningful role in preserving green spaces for the future. The collaboration is built on the ambition to develop together over time. Sunseeker aims to establish its brand in Sweden on a long-term basis, while IFK Göteborg continues its journey forward – both on the pitch and organizationally.
