Sunseeker Elite, the premium robotic lawn care division of Sunseeker, is expanding its product portfolio in 2026 with the launch of the X Range, a new generation of robotic lawn mowers designed around wire-free installation, AI-driven navigation, and scalable performance.The X Range consists of three distinct product series—X Gen 2 Series, X4, and X9 Series—each developed with its own dedicated technology configuration and performance focus to address different lawn sizes, terrain conditions, and usage scenarios, while following a unified product vision and technology roadmap.
Across the entire X Range, Sunseeker Elite has upgraded its onboard computing architecture from 5 TOPS to 10 TOPS AI processing power. This enhanced computing platform enables faster data processing, real-time perception, and more responsive autonomous decision-making across all models. While each series applies a different sensing and navigation strategy, the shared 10 TOPS computing foundation supports advanced functions such as virtual boundary management, adaptive path planning, and precise obstacle detection, without compromising installation simplicity or operational stability.
With coverage ranging from small private gardens to areas of up to 24,000 square meters, Sunseeker’s Elite X Range for 2026 is built around a single core concept:
fully autonomous lawn care without boundary wires or antenna stations, adapted to different lawn sizes through specialized navigation, perception, and drive technologies.
Rather than positioning the X Range as a single product line, Sunseeker Elite presents it as a modular technology platform. Each series applies a different navigation and sensing approach—vision-based AI, LiDAR-driven perception, or hybrid RTK and visual localization—while maintaining consistent standards in safety, reliability, and user experience.
The X Gen 2 Series is developed for private gardens with complex layouts, including narrow passages, uneven terrain, and varying slopes. The series is powered by Sunseeker’s AONavi™ 2.0 system, which combines nRTK and VSLAM 2.0 to deliver precise positioning without the need for boundary wires or an external antenna station.
Navigation and obstacle avoidance are supported by upgraded Vision AI 2.0 technology, which integrates binocular cameras and an iToF camera to enable continuous perception across changing lighting conditions. The binocular camera provides accurate visual recognition during daytime operation, while the iToF camera ensures reliable depth-based perception at night. Together, they form a 24/7 precise perception system, allowing the mower to maintain stable navigation and obstacle detection regardless of time or light conditions.
By removing physical installation constraints and focusing on intelligent perception, the X Gen 2 Series is positioned as a flexible solution for users seeking advanced automation in demanding residential environments.
Designed for lawns of up to 1,200 square meters, the X4 focuses on simplicity, fast deployment, and consistent accuracy. Powered by LidarAI™ 3D Fusion Sensing, the system combines 360-degree 3D LiDAR with Vision AI to deliver complementary perception beyond single-sensor navigation.
The LiDAR system provides dense, real-time 3D mapping, enabling stable navigation in complex and changing environments, while the integrated monocular camera enhances visual recognition of objects that are difficult to detect with LiDAR alone, such as low-profile obstacles. By fusing spatial depth data with visual intelligence, the X4 achieves more accurate obstacle avoidance and reliable operation across varying lawn conditions, both day and night.
The X4 follows a Drop & Go concept, requiring no boundary wires or antenna stations. Once placed on the lawn, the mower automatically creates virtual boundaries, performs 3D lawn mapping, and plans efficient mowing routes with minimal user input.By relying on LiDAR-based perception rather than satellite positioning, the X4 is positioned as a practical, low-maintenance solution for medium-sized residential gardens.
At the top of the X Range sits the X9 Series, developed for large estates, sports facilities, and municipal green spaces. The lineup includes the X9, capable of covering up to 12,000 square meters within 48 hours, and the X9 Plus, which extends capacity to 24,000 square meters over the same period.
The X9 Series is built on Sunseeker’s AONavi™ 2.0 navigation platform, combining nRTK and VSLAM 2.0 to maintain stable, antenna-free positioning across expansive and complex areas. For power management, the series introduces PioneerVolt™ charging technology, reducing downtime through faster and more efficient recharging cycles.
Precision edge maintenance is supported by the EdgeZero™ system, designed to achieve cleaner trimming along boundaries and fixed structures. Mobility and traction are handled by the AWD ATC Pro drive system, featuring four-wheel drive, suspension, and active steering to ensure stable operation on uneven terrain and steep slopes.
